How to use PPL4U: a step-by-step guide

July 13, 2026

PPL4U is built around the way pilots actually study: short drills, spaced repetition, and exam-style practice. This guide walks you through the core workflow from your first login to exam-ready confidence.

1. Create your account

Head to ppl4u.app and sign up with your email. Once you are in, pick your language and start with the guided track — it maps the full syllabus so you always know what to study next.

2. Run quiz drills

Quiz drills are the fastest way to find weak spots. Choose a subject, answer questions one by one, and read the explanation after each attempt. Repeat topics where your accuracy drops below 80%.

  • Start with a single subject to build momentum.
  • Use explanations to understand why an answer is correct.
  • Revisit missed questions the same day for better retention.

3. Review with flashcards

Flashcards help you memorise facts, limits, and definitions that appear again and again on the exam. Swipe through a deck after each quiz session while the questions are still fresh.

4. Simulate the real exam

When you are scoring consistently in drills, switch to exam mode. It mirrors official timing and question mix so you can practise under pressure before the real sitting.

  • Run at least two full simulations in the week before your exam.
  • Note which subjects cost you the most time.
  • Use your results to plan a final revision pass.

5. Track progress and keep your streak

Your dashboard shows accuracy by subject, completed sessions, and study streaks. Check it after every session and spend extra time on the categories trending red.

Recommended weekly routine

  • Monday–Thursday: 20–30 minutes of quiz drills plus flashcards.
  • Friday: one timed exam simulation.
  • Weekend: review weak subjects and clear missed questions.
