Cookie Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how PPL4U uses cookies, browser local storage, and similar technologies.
1. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small pieces of information a website stores in your browser while you use it.
Local storage works similarly but lets a website keep certain settings directly in your browser.
These technologies can be used, among other things, to make a site work correctly, remember preferences, gather statistics, or display ads.
2. Which technologies do we use?
On the PPL4U information website at ppl4u.pl we use only essential or functional technologies, used solely to save the choices you make or to keep the service working.
Site theme preference
We store your chosen site theme, for example light or dark, in your browser's local storage. It stays saved until you delete it or clear your browser data.
Language preference
We store your chosen language version of the site in a cookie. This cookie's only purpose is to show the correct language on your next visits.
These technologies are not used to profile users, run analytics, display ads, or track activity across different websites.
3. Do we ask for cookie consent?
We do not show a consent banner for the technologies described above, because we use them solely to save preferences you have explicitly chosen, such as your language or the look of the site, and to provide the site's basic functions.
If we ever start using optional cookies or similar technologies, for example for analytics or marketing, we will tell users and — where required — ask for consent before enabling them.
4. What we do not use
On this website we do not use:
- advertising cookies;
- marketing cookies;
- profiling cookies;
- tools that track users across different websites;
- optional analytics tools.
5. Sessions and sign-in in the PPL4U app
PPL4U is available as a web app at ppl4u.app and as a mobile app. How a signed-in session is kept differs between them.
Web app (ppl4u.app)
The web app uses essential cookies to keep a signed-in session and secure the account, among other things to:
- keep a signed-in user's session,
- handle sign-in,
- protect the account against unauthorised access,
- keep the app working correctly.
Specifically, the web app may store:
- Neon Auth session cookies (names starting with __Secure-neon-auth) to maintain your signed-in session;
- ppl4u_locale — your chosen app language;
- mobile_oauth_state, mobile_oauth_code_challenge, and mobile_oauth_redirect_uri — short-lived cookies used only while signing in via the mobile app with Google;
- skyvivid_theme — your light/dark theme preference in browser local storage;
- outbox:exam:* — exam progress queued for sync in browser local storage while you are offline.
Mobile app
In the mobile app, the data used to maintain your session is stored on the device rather than in browser cookies.
Detailed information about how personal data is processed is available in the PPL4U Privacy Policy.
6. Managing cookies and local storage
You can delete or block cookies and data saved in local storage in your browser settings.
Blocking or deleting this data may mean the site does not remember your chosen language or theme and applies default settings on your next visit.
How you manage these settings depends on the browser you use.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy may be updated, in particular if the way the site works, the technologies used, or applicable law change.
The current version of the document is always published on this page together with the date of the last update.
